This is a website created by three high school students who have learned what the difference between soil and dirt is.  Our goal for this website is to teach students, preferably 5th grade and below, about the difference between soil and dirt and demonstrate how it affects plants.  We created a hands on lesson plan that includes a kid friendly animation video that visually demonstrates the benefits and than created a hands on lesson with soil and dirt that will allow the kids to see, feel, and even smell the difference between dirt and soil.  In the end our goal for the lesson plan is for the students to be able to identify the difference between soil and dirt.  To find our lesson plan go to the lesson plan tab at the top of the website of click here
